![]() ![]() I would only collect records from this point, what could I do with Baseball Cards? If I only knew at the time that their value would have made a nice down payment on a house 20+ years later. ![]() My Mother had nothing to do with it, I clearly remember carrying the three large boxes to the curb and stacking them next to the garbage cans. There was now a pad and pen near the radio to fill a list of interesting sounds, with a decision made to toss the large cartons of Baseball cards out and make more room for records. A rough guide to the years covered here would be 1966-1971, and AM was still being listened to but drum lessons were beginning and the Freeform era was soon to be my main drug of choice, with WBGO from Newark covering Jazz. I was already set as far as what I wanted to do with my life, and music had to be part of the equation. And yes I clearly remember experiencing this music for the first time at that age. This episode is not a strict Summer Of Love set due to the fact I was 12 in 1967. That is the government that Jo Jorgensen and Libertarians running for office across the country promise to reform our government into, and We The People will be freer, safer, healthier and happier as a result. This year's Mixtape Series has truly been a blast to put together with the only bottleneck deciding what order the topics decided upon should roll out. Libertarians will undo this terrible arrangement, and kick the cronies and their system out of Washington, and our state capitals, for good.Ī government that truly serves its people is one whose only duties are to protect our lives, rights and property. Republicans and Democrats have turned our government into a system whereby they can take from us and order us around as they wish, leading to the predictable outcomes that we are now facing. No wonder Americans are increasingly anxious, desperate, divided and hopeless. No wonder entire communities have been decimated by the failed war on drugs. No wonder entire industries are fleeing America or going out of business, leaving millions behind without a way to provide for their families. No wonder multinational crony corporations are given trillions of dollars in bailouts, while we are stuck with the bill, at a time when we are facing a massive recession. No wonder the cost of health care, higher education, housing and everything else is spiraling out of control. This explains why this Republicrat government is increasingly bloated, wasteful and tyrannical. And I certainly wouldn't have to be a good steward of what I've taken, because I can simply take more whenever I want. If I were to take money and property from you and everyone else who is reading this whenever I see fit, and order you all around at will, I wouldn't have to provide you with good service. It makes perfect sense why the Libertarian way works, and why the Republican and Democrat way doesn't. That's why a record number of voters are showing support for Jo's Libertarian reforms: lowering the cost of health care by over 75% by slashing burdensome red tape and fees, growing our economy by eliminating the IRS and getting rid of crony-friendly regulations so that small businesses can flourish and tens of millions of new jobs can be created, ending the wars overseas and bringing the troops home, protecting your right to keep and bear arms so you can protect yourselves and your loved ones, and much more. Nevadans, and Americans across the country, didn't need to experience the COVID-19 pandemic, the government lockdowns, growing police brutality or the resulting unrest in our streets to know that our large, bloated, unaccountable government is making things worse. It's probably no coincidence that over 80% of the land in Nevada is owned by the federal government. Besides the obvious beauty of the state and the welcoming nature of Nevadans, it also impressed me at how many of you were absolutely determined to live free, how intuitively you understood that big government overreach into your lives were making them more difficult, and how taking control back would make them so much better. I was in Nevada a couple times in August and September as part of Jo Jorgensen's and my bus tour across America, and I was struck by many things.
